21 Grams Espresso Bar
21 grams per shot and an awesome playroomLocated just off Pittwater road between Dee Why and Collaroy is 21 Grams. It is a trendy little cafe serving their own house blend coffee. These guys know their coffee and those 21 grams of grind per cup really make a difference. My cappuccino was full bodied with sweet overtones, just delicious. I would travel here for the coffee alone.
The cafe is small inside however they do have some outdoor seating. In the back corner little ones have their own playroom with a pretend kitchen, workbench, books and toys. It was such a treat to be able to relax and enjoy my coffee with my little one happily occupied. The babycino (only $1) was served on a cute little tray and was full of hundreds and thousands and a marshmallow. I have never seen my one year-old demolish a drink so quickly. They do not have a separate children’s menu however just ask and they will do half portions of anything. They can cater for mother’s groups however it is best to avoid the busy early morning rush.
Their menu is basic yet covers all your cafe basics at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the linseed and quinoa toast with avocado and tomatoes for $7.50. On their ‘All Day Brekkie’ menu you will also find bacon and egg roll ($6), chorizo omelette wrap ($8), brekkie burger ($8.50), vegetarian omelette ($9.50) and the ’21 Grams Brekkie Stack’ which is a meat lovers delight and is served with a coffee for only $15. For lunch choose from a range of paninis and burgers ranging from $6.50 to $9.50.
Head down to 21 Grams where you can be guaranteed an amazing coffee every time and the little ones will love it too!
