If you find yourself in the fabulous playground at Clifton Garden Reserve or just enjoying the beach at Chowder Bay, you may wonder where you can grab a coffee and some food? Bacino Bar Chowder Bay is located a short walk up the hill, past Ripples and the diving school. They also have a tiny Kiosk located in what used to be an ammunitions store on the pier which offers coffee and light snacks during the warmer Summer months.
The bar is compact however if you have a pram or active toddlers, use the side ramp and sit out the back where there is some grass and more room. They do have a highchair and a change table. Little ones don’t have their own menu but the menu and counter sweets should have plenty of options for them.
The coffee is creamy with real chocolate shavings and is medium strength. The cannolis are delicious but if you are after brunch or lunch the menu offers Italian inspired cafe fare. The morning menu is offered from 7am – 12pm and includes Italian classics such as toasted Panetone with ricotta and honey; ricotta; Roma tomatoes and basil on toast; and ricotta and chive cakes with bacon and tomato relish. In the afternoon, you can choose from baguettes, antipasto plate, brushetta and salad of the day.
