Known to locals as ‘The Tratt’, Bondi Trattoria has arguably one of the best views of Bondi. You can soak up the morning sun sitting on the terrace and just relax. The staff here don’t miss a beat, they are super friendly with children and the service is quick and efficient. Inside there is plenty of room for prams and the change facilities are superb with a supply of nappies and wipes too!
The children’s menu comes with some seaside colouring and puzzles. It is extensive and reasonably priced too. For lunch and dinner, they can choose from fettuccine with napolitana sauce ($8), spaghetti with meatballs ($9.50), margherita pizza with ham ($10), breaded whiting or chicken schnitzel with chips and salad ($10). For breakfast, they can happily share yours or choose from a variety of baked goods and toast. Babycinos come out in cute plastic cups which little ones love.
We visited for breakfast and loved the Italian influence with breakfast brushetta on offer. Just divine and not too heavy or filling. Continuing on the Italian theme, they also offer breakfast pizza with smoked ham and egg ($19.90) and zucchini or chorizo frittata served with crostini ($15.90/$16.90). For lunch and dinner, they offer traditional Italian fare of pizza, pasta and meat mains. They are open all day so are the perfect spot to grab a 5.30pm dinner with little ones.
Enjoy the food, views and friendly service at ‘The Tratt’ and I’m sure you will be back!
