Trips to the hardware store with kids is no longer a chore when going to Bunnings Rocklea. Not only does it have a surprisingly great cafe but it’s home to fabulous fenced soft play area that is next to the cafe. The food at the cafe is brought in fresh daily and is displayed in cabinets ready for you to make your selection. We shared a ham and salad wrap, muffin and I grabbed a coffee while the kids played. I am happy to admit that it was all very good and I would definitely eat there again.
There isn’t a separate kids menu, however, any of the food options would easily work for even the pickiest of eaters. With toasted sandwiches, quiche, pies, and sausage rolls all on offer along with a selection of yummy cakes. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and coffee at the Bunnings Cafe Rocklea.
Bunnings has free kids activities on offer most weekends and during school holidays which adds to the family friendly feel. The cafe staff were family orientated and use to children. They were happy to indulge my Mr 3 as he made his all-important chocolate muffin selection which seemed to drag on for some time.
