Little Eats loves the vibe and stunning views at Burnt Orange Mosman, so when we heard they were opening in Chatswood Chase we couldn’t wait to try it out. Whilst there are no harbour views here, they do bring their sophisticated yet casual vibe and superb menu. Its location in the mall makes it ideal for parents with prams and children who can’t sit still for long.
The lunch menu has more of a restaurant quality about it than your typical cafe, with prices to match. Choose from salads, antipasto platters, the Reuben and heavier mains such as the 12 hour slow cooked lamb pie. The kids lunch menu is $12 and includes a toastie with milk/OJ and a huge cookie. Miss 3 was in heaven when the cookie was served.
The antipasto platter was a highlight for the table however the avocado with vine ripened tomato and feta came a close second. The antipasto platter is perfect for sharing if you are after a snack or those who like to graze. Soft-boiled egg, avocado, Serrano ham, vegetable sticks and dip was the perfect combination to slowly enjoy. The smoked ham and the rich soft boiled egg perfectly complemented each other.
Overall I highly recommend Burnt Orange in Chatswood Chase’s for a special lunch with the family or a mid-shopping break. Its great to see Chatswood expanding its line up of high end kid friendly cafes.
