Castle Cove Cafe
The little ones are well looked after with a great kids menu and toy corner with TV.Castle Cove Cafe has an eclectic design with dark woods, antique display pieces, vintage glass containers with lollies and funky artwork. The best part about this cafe for parents is the corner complete with sofa, TV and many toys.
They have really thought about the kids’ menu here with options suiting toddlers to older children. As parents we know that spending $10 on a kids meal for a 2 or even 5 year old is often wasted money, so Castle Cove Café offer more simple meals during the day such as fairy bread and a babycino ($4), a ham and pineapple pizza ($4) or cheese and tomato toastie ($5). More substantial options include nuggets and chips ($7.90), fish and chips ($7.90) or cheeseburger ($5.50). The babycinos are served in colourful and unbreakable melamine cups, with marshmallows of course.
Adults and children alike can enjoy fantastic food here. At lunch you will see a mix of all types of people soaking up the atmosphere. We ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs from the All Day Breakfast menu ($11.50). The servings are generous and the produce fresh and tasty. For breakfast, the bacon and egg rolls are only $5.50, bircher muesli is $7.90, big breakfast is $14.50 and brekky wrap is $8.50. For lunch you can enjoy fresh wraps ($8.50) and mains from $6 to $22.
