From the moment we arrived, we loved the friendly vibe of this cafe and the trendy yet welcoming decor. Think polished concrete floors, exposed brickwork and hessian bag covered stools. We made a beeline for the seating near the playroom.
The playroom itself is an inspiration, especially its fun, bright and practical design. The artwork of several little customers is proudly displayed on the walls and Crayz even feature a few favourite pieces on their Facebook page. From the outset, you can tell that the cafe was designed with children in mind and not just as an afterthought. I learnt one of the owners has a background in childcare so has taken this experience in designing such an amazing play facility for children.
Make sure you arrive with an appetite, because the food is hearty, fresh and delicious. They serve a variety of jaffles for only $5, which are not only delicious but perfect for little ones. The apple and cinnamon is to die for with freshly stewed apples and a touch of cinnamon. For something more substantial, go for the breakfast burger which comes with a beef patty; bacon; egg; hash brown; cheese; tomato and spinach ($12). For lunch, choose from salads or burgers ($10-$14) and their daily specials.
