Dear Delicious burst onto the Inner West cafe scene in 2014. With a focus on locally sourced organic produce and raw food, their menu is a stand out. They have successfully tweaked your typical cafe favourites to make them pretty darn delcious and healthy too. Located conveniently next to Dulwich Hill light rail station, the cafe takes up a prominent corner block with plenty of seating inside, on the pavement and in the little courtyard at the back.
We visited on a busy Sunday morning and were greeted with smiles and shown to a table. The clientele was a mix of young singles, families with children and a large group took up the round table at the back. The bright decor with touches of yellow and light woods makes the industrial space warm and comforting. We immediately ordered our caffeine hits and relaxed with our Little Marionette brews.
The menu is well thought out with healthy additions such as the ‘Fire Zest Granola’ which is served with activated algave almonds, cashews, chia, linseed, pepitas, goji berries, mulberries and coconut crunch with your choice of milk; or the ‘Organic Chicken Burger’ which is served with kale slaw instead of lettuce. We ordered the poached chicken delight sandwich and beef burger. The standout was by far the succulent beef burger with thick cut potato wedges.
The ‘Real Kids Brekkie’ consists of cold pressed juice and your choice of toast with jam/vegemite or a fried egg . Healthy and delicious! They also have a great selection of baked goods which are perfect for little ones.
Dear Delicious, your name is just as delectable as your menu! What a charming cafe.
