Deli in the Park in East Lindfield sits directly opposite a fantastic fenced playground and plenty of grass in-between. You can sit in the café and see your little ones playing at the park – bliss!
The lovely owner, Bobby, is a father of 3, so really understands how to make families with young children welcome and accommodated. We have always found all the staff really friendly and accommodated and they have put up with plenty of mess from my little ones. Their talented baristas consistently produce excellent Vittoria coffees.
The bambini menu is excellent and portion sizes are large. Meals range between $10-$12. Toasties are $6.50 and our favourite is the ham and cheese toastie on wholemeal. Ingredients are fresh and of high quality. All bambini meals also come with a free babycino served in a paper cup which is very chocolaty! There is a selection of books and crayons available in a basket outside and plenty of room in the courtyard for little ones to run around near your table.
The breakfast menu is great and we regularly eat from it. Favourites include banana bread with ricotta and honey ($7.50), free range eggs on Sonoma toast ($10), eggs Benedict with avocado on panini with ham or smoked salmon ($18.50) and corn fritters with spinach, avocado and chutney ($16.50).
Lunch is also a gourmet affair with paninis and wraps (wagu beef, smoked salmon, vegetarian and more) ranging from $16.50 – $18.50. Also on offer are hearty salads and comforting winter foods including lamb koftas and angus rump steak. This is a great place to come with your mothers group, friends and family.
Did I mention the cake display inside with a changing selection of cupcakes, cheesecake, chocolate brownies, freshly baked muffins and cookies? Just scrumptious! They also do a takeaway menu if you just want to grab some food and coffee and sit near the playground. I can highly recommend the hamburger ($9.50), it is huge and the meat succulent.
Deli in the Park is family favourite because we know we can have delicious food and excellent coffee in a relaxed and fun atmosphere for the children. From grabbing a takeaway coffee to hosting a large luncheon in the courtyard, they have it all!
