Duchess of Spotswood is a trendy, retro-cool café with a cute British twist. Little ones will like their homemade lemonade, iced ginger cup cakes, basket of toys and train watching from the table out front.
The Duchess of Spotswood is retro-fitted, with a touch of class from the stunning chandelier hanging from its ceiling, mixed with the casual elegance of their old-style sugar bowls and proper cutlery. The best part about this cafe for parents is their fabulous courtyard and kids play area. This place is very popular so be prepared for a wait, especially on the weekends.
The menu is filled with cute dishes with names like Duchess of Pork, Idle Tongues, Stormin’ Norman, and Simple Pleasures. There is no separate kids menu but certainly there are lots of dishes adaptable for kids – from porridge, oats or eggs for breakfast, to yummy sandwiches for lunch. The coffee is St Ali and delicious.
