Flying Fox Café is located in Winnererremy Bay, which has been voted ‘the best park in Sydney. The waterfront park has everything you need for a great day out with the family including a huge playground, paths for bikes or scooter and picnic areas.
The café itself is more like a kiosk with the sail roof and clear screen walls giving the impression of sitting outdoors. There is indoor and outdoor seating and you can enjoy the beautiful view from all angles. You will be more than welcome with children as basically everything they offer caters to them.
The Cubs Club breakfast for little ones is $12, a junior serving of eggs, bacon and toast. For lunch, the menu is unfortunately fried food with chips ($9.50-$12.50). It would be great to see some healthier options for children at lunch.
For adults, the breakfast menu offers good variety. The eggs benedict is served with spinach on thick corn bread and is a tasty combination. For something different, check out the chilli crab eggs – scrambled eggs with fresh Blue Swimmer, chilli and breadcrumbs. Lighter options include banana bread, toast and bacon and egg roll.
Flying Fox Cafe and Winnererremy Bay have so much to offer for all the family. The playground is completely fenced so is great for younger children and with such variety of play equipment on offer they are sure to have a ball!
