Hide and Seek Cafe is the holy grail for parents in Sydney’s Inner West. It is THE place to take the little ones for a coffee, lunch or even one of their kids classes. Founded and owned by a couple with a background in early childhood education, the cafe has been created with kids in mind. From the nutritious and simple kids meals that start from $2 (yes that’s $2??) to the fantastic coffee and specially selected toys, the whole family will have a ball here.
The all day kids menu is not only cheap but nutritious. The Aussie favourite, Vegemite on toast is only $2 and their Bento Box ($7) is full of nutrient dense food for growing minds and bodies. Another childhood favourite, Eggs with Soldiers is $5 and my little one couldn’t get enough.
Even though this cafe is kid focussed, the adult menu does not disappoint with a good variety and several super healthy options. That all important coffee is by Five Senses and is rich and with caramel undertones. As their blackboard says ‘Life Happens. Coffee Helps’!
If you are looking for a Mother’s Group catch up location, Hide and Seek is ideal. They offer a dedicated indoor room with mats for young babies and the opportunity for you to actually sit and chat over coffee. Remember to book in advance.
Hide and Seek may be a kid friendly cafe however it will appeal to grandmas, uncle and dads too. Every Friday morning they are offering ‘Business Time’ for work at home parents, so they enjoy some uninterrupted work time from 10am-12pm whilst the little ones are minded. Check out more information here. Such an awesome idea!
