Hoochie Mamma offers a number of options for those with intolerances and dietary requirements (eg, vegetarian, gluten free) which is handy. My friend and I ordered the gluten free corn cakes and a BRAT (bacon rocket avocado tomato) sandwich that came with chips. We also got two flat whites and two skim caramel lattes.
While unfortunately there is no kids menu or play area, high chairs were happily provided by the kind waitresses. There was some pram access; there were a couple of steps in the restaurant which could be avoided by sitting outside or in the lower tiered area of the restaurant. The staff were happy for my bub to sit in his pram for the meal, while my friend’s bub had a highchair.
One very useful addition would be a change table. Whilst there was a bathroom none was provided.
Our two 1 year olds were kept entertained in their highchairs by each other and passing traffic. The waitresses took care the serve food and drink away from curious little hands, which was appreciated! The cafe appeared to be popular and was quite busy, which may be why it took a while for our food to be served. However, our meals were all fresh and tasty and the coffee was great.
