Kirribilli Club is welcoming, family friendly and fun with some of the most breathtaking harbour views in Sydney. We were lucky enough to enjoy the view during sundown with a drink in hand. We visited Dedes Watergrill Restaurant for an early dinner on a Saturday evening and most diners were families. Staff were more than welcoming of the children and went out of their way to make them feel special and accommodated. Food is ordered separately to drinks and pre-paying makes for a quick getaway with little ones!
The kid’s menu is $11.50 and the portion sizes are large. Choose from sausages, fish or nuggets with chips; and penne bolognaise. Kid’s ice cream is $4.50. The sharing plates are also a good option for little ones, especially the Mezze which comes with plenty of flat bread and hummus. You can also order side dishes for little ones with your mains such as vegetables, fries or bread rolls.
The menu offers excellent variety and we all found our mains to be well presented and delicious. On offer are salads, wok dishes, pasta, vegetarian, seafood and meat mains. The standout dishes were the Balmain bug special and the salmon with soba noodles.
Towards the end of the meal, the little ones started getting a bit rowdy, however the music and noise helped to drown this out, which was perfect. Diners at the Kirribilli Club recognise that is is a family friendly venue and are very tolerant of children. It would also be a great option for mothers groups during the day with the cafe open from 10am and offering plenty of room for prams. Limited parking is available on the street or in the underground carpark for $12.
