High tech ordering for big kids and a play pen for little kids.

Kokoroya is a favourite for families because of their fantastic enclosed play area for young children.  The perfect restaurant for weary parents get a little ‘me’ time. The play pen is a high walled discrete triangular affair that cannot be easily seen from the street.

Kokoroyo provides a typical sushi restaurant ambience but with a built in play space! Big kids can flip through the electronic menu, tap on the item of choice and hey presto your order goes straight to the kitchen. A mysterious button sits on the table in case you may need human intervention.

Lunchtime may be the best time to visit Kokoroya with kids as the prices are much cheaper than at dinner and the karate kid meal deal at $6.00 is excellent value and contains a couple of pieces of chicken karage, some mini cooked tuna sushi, edamame beans, gyoza, cute little jelly cups for desert and a dollop of mayo for good measure. So on the plate there was plenty of variety to tempt fussy palates.

Like wise there are specials available for adults too at round the $12 mark and these centre around old favorites like karage, katsudon, teriyaki chicken or tempura and come with a mini udon noodle soup or miso soup. There are sushi side dishes ($4.50) which are perfect to top up little ones if they are still hungry or want more.
