A yummy inventive menu, super-friendly & welcoming people and a bucket of toys. Sometimes it’s just the simple things that make for a kid-friendly cafe. On top of this Little Tommy Tucker is bright & clean with a modern fresh decor.
Little Tommy Tucker quickly became a favourite with by locals and the modern and tidy cafe, is busy with a capital B. It’s full of energy and a real favourite of the Little Eats Family too.
Sometimes I feel so down about settling for substandard food offerings at eateries due to it being “kid-friendly”. This place has some creative dishes and is the reason I have been back on quite a few occasions now. For under $10 the “Little Tuckers” can choose from crumpets, pasta, eggs or baked beans along with kids sized drinks. I believe the menu has seasonal changes so they like to keep it mixed up. I have tried the vanilla set yoghurt ($14) and The grilled halloumi with roast veggies, poached eggs and basil oil ($17). Both were yummy! The food was promptly served and the selection of toys kept my girls entertained while waiting to eat.
Like I said, it’s the simple things at Little Tommy Tucker that make it so child-friendly. The only real downfall of this place is it’s super-super busy and I have had to wait for a table once or twice which is not so ideal with children. This alone could potentially ruin a breakfast outing with the little ones. We all know making a hungry toddler wait is a recipe for failure!!
