Longshot Cafe sits at the front of a charming arcade in the genteel Beecroft Village. The vibe was relaxed and friendly with a mixed clientele of families, friends and couples reading the paper. We grabbed a table outside, a highchair and relaxed over a superb Morgan’s coffee whilst reading the menu.
The kids menu offers good variety and they will cater to the dietary requirements of your little ones. The kids breakfast option is English muffin with eggs and bacon ($8.50). For lunch, they can choose from a grilled chicken wrap; grilled chicken salad; beef burger with chips; ham and cheese open melt; or mini chips.
The breakfast menu features Brasserie breads and great variety. Stand outs for me were the house made granola; 3 egg omelette on quinoa toast; and sour cherry toast. Many of the menu items are adaptable to coeliac and gluten-free diets. Lunch is served between 12-2pm with sandwiches, sales, burgers, risotto and salmon on offer.
I can understand the buzz around Longshot with its standout coffee and unique menu. It is perfectly positioned just near the playground next to Beecroft station for burning off some energy before or after your meal.
