Marciano’s has a sleek dark exterior which leads into a huge space with dark woods and colourful Italian imagery on the walls. The atmosphere is vibrant with large tables full of extended families of all ages, a long sleek bar and little ones having a great time. Marciano’s are legendary for their woodfire pizzas, in particular the Mickey Mouse version!
The kids menu is delivered on a colouring sheet featuring the one-and-only Marciano! For $20 little ones can choose from spaghetti bolognese/napolitana; a Mickey Mouse pizza; calamari and chips; or Cotoletta (schnitzel) and chips. This all comes with a soft drink and authentic gelato to finish.
The traditional southern Italian way of enjoying meals is to start with ‘spuntino’ or ‘small meals’ and then move onto a main of pizza, pasta or small meats. We ordered the Braciole – veal filled with garlic, pepper, parsley and parmesan; spaghetti marinara and risotto funghi. The flavours were delicious and portions just right.
The party could go all evening here, especially with the barman mixing up some great looking cocktails. Families are made really welcome here to enjoy the fun too.
