Mr Wolf opens at 5pm, which is a very family friendly tea-time, and on top of the highchairs, crayons and colouring in sheets, there is a fabulous kids menu, defined by its portion sizes and ingredients. It is aptly titled “Dinner for little people…” and there are Bambini pizzas on offer – Margherita with cherry tomatoes and no green stuff! (love it!), Poco Lupo with mozzarella, tomato sugo and ham, or mozzarella parmesan and garlic and then there is also the Bambini lasagne. If you order a Bambini meal between 5pm and 6.30pm, you can take advantage of their special offer and have a meal and an ice-cream sundae.
According to the little ones menu “If you finish your dinner…”, you can then choose from ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce, a scoop of lemon, chocolate or seasonal sorbet, or the dessert pizza of the day.
And to drink “With a straw…” there’s bottled organic juices, San Pellegrino’s, fruit crush with fresh fruit and coke spiders.
This is one slick operation, and a smart one at that (hey it’s owned by a woman and mum after all!), as at 5.45pm when we arrived at least half the tables were full of families, and then come half an hour later every table was full. Then as if by magic, come 7.30pm/8pm the families will disappear home before they turn into pumpkins, and the restaurant will be ready for another whole new set of customers…. sans bebe of course.
