Nield Park Pavillion is located overlooking the water at Rodd Point with views of the city. What a glorious part of Sydney, especially when the sun in shining off the water! We visited on a weekday morning for breakfast and the café was full of parents with children. The space is fantastic for toddlers and parents with prams and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The playground is around the back of the café and not visible when seated so if you have an extra energetic toddler, grab some takeaway and hang out on the park benches.
The kid’s menu is displayed on an activity colouring sheet. For breakfast (until 11.30am), choose from pancakes or a bacon and egg roll. For lunch, they offer the usual kid’s café fare of steak, chicken strips or fish all served with chips or spaghetti bolognese.
The breakfast menu is extensive with all your brunch favourites of banana bread, French toast, muesli, eggs, omelettes and pancakes. Our banana bread was served with a side of ricotta and marscapone and was delicious.
Nield Park Pavillion is the perfect location for large groups such as mother’s groups, a coffee catch up or a quick meal with the family. The food is delicious and the views spectacular. Little ones will love the playground and the oval to burn off some energy after your meal.
