Norths Cammeray and been revitalised with bright sleek interiors, a kids play room and a fantastic new menu. The head chef has created a menu to appeal to all tastes using locally sourced fresh produce. The huge bistro space means large families can easily dine whilst little ones come and go to the adjoining play room.
Friday and Saturday nights at Norths Pantry are pumping with lots of families and children of all ages. When we visited the kids play room, most of the little ones were watching a movie and others were playing video games. Miss 5 preferred to explore her creative side at the colouring desks. The kids meals are not creative but sure to please with options including: cheeseburger, chicken schnitzel, fish (all served with chips) and spaghetti bolognese. All meals include a kids ice cream. On Thursday evenings, kids eat FREE!
The gourmet bistro menu is extensive with classic pub favourites and Asian influence from the ‘Hawkers Wok’. Gluten free and vegetarian options are scattered throughout, including gluten free pizza bases. From the ‘favourites’ menu we ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($19/$22) and from the Grill we ordered the Tasmanian Huon salmon fillet with crushed chats, brocollini & truffle oil ($22/$24). Whilst the chicken parmigiana was thin and unexciting, the salmon was tender and perfectly matched with the broccolini.
Norths Cafe is open from 10am and is perfect for mothers group gatherings. If you live within 5km of the club, you will need to become a member or come as a guest of a member. Membership is reciprocal with The Greens North Sydney (also kid friendly) and offers discounts and benefits within the club.
