Pages Cafe is a simple and unpretentious cafe located within the Koorong bookstore. Whilst Koorong is a Christian bookstore, the cafe is open to anyone and everyone. Pages is popular for their extensive gluten-free menu and the staff are very particular with making sure food is handled properly to maintain its gluten-free status. They also cater for vegetarians, dairy and nut-free customers. This is a great cafe to bring little ones with food intolerances.
They cover all bases for child-friendly facilities here with plenty of highchairs, change facilities, pre-paying for meals at the counter, parking on-site, soft play, activities and more. If you would like to have a browse inside, they have a little play pen in the children’s book corner with toys.
The kids menu is proudly displayed just near the soft play area. The menu is well priced with cheesy fingers, fairy bread, crepes and nachos. Also, check out the display cabinet for their beautiful handmade cupcakes.
The breakfast menu is simple with most bases covered, except for fruit or muesli. Options include the ‘Pages Big Breakfast’, scrambled egg wrap and French toast. For a light breakfast, choose sourdough toast with coffee for only $7.50.
For lunch they have a variety of sandwiches or for something more substantial, they have beef and chicken nachos, burgers, beef lasagne and open melts.
Pages Cafe is not as trendy as an inner city cafe, however the food and coffee are made to a good standard and the child-friendly facilities are amazing. This all makes it the perfect location for a relaxed family meal or mothers group meeting.
