Pilgrim Cafe

This friendly corner cafe in suburban Ashbury serves an Italian inspired breakfast and lunch menu. They offer a range of activities for little ones and a ‘kidlets’ menu.

Pilgrim Cafe is run by the former owner of Ottimo Italian Kitchen in Hunters Hill. The menu is Italian inspired and the staff friendly and accommodating of families. Little ones are offered highchairs, a selection of colouring and books, and a gorgeous babycino.

The menu has a strong focus on the all-day breakfast. Lighter options include sour cherry and raisin sourdough; banana bread with ricotta and honey; or buttermilk scones with jam and ricotta. If you come with a bigger appetite, think corn fritters with bacon, avocado and tomato relish; or Green Eggs with prosciutto and pesto.

‘Kidlets’ can enjoy eggs and bacon on toast soldiers for breakfast. For lunch, all the kids classics are covered including ham and cheese toastie, grilled chicken with chips, penne napoletana and fish & chips. Finish with a scoop of ice cream and sprinkles for $3.50!

You can’t go past their signature ‘Pilgrim Beef Burger’ for lunch which comes with beetroot relish, cheddar, aoli and fried crush chat potatoes. Make sure you check out their daily specials board.
You can’t go home without trying their famous salted caramel scrolls. These delicious baked treats have been described as ‘life changing’. Go on, you won’t be disappointed!
