Queens Park Shed
Grab a healthy kids lunch box & coffee then head to the playgroundQueens Park Shed has its home in the restored parkland toolshed. The cafe encapsulates a rustic yet modern space with dark woods, rough walls and gardening implements on display (harking back to ‘the shed’ name). The doors open to sweeping lawns on one side and the playground on the other, making it the perfect family dining destination.
The kids menu is a bit pricey but covers all their favourites including the kids lunch box which is $14 and contains a chicken and avocado sandwich, salad, organic smoothie and treat. Toasties start at $8 and more substantial fish and chips is $12.
The Shed is open for dinner on Friday and Saturdays from 5 pm and kids eat for free on Fridays during New South Wales school holidays (one kids meal free with every adult meal)!
For breakfast, the homemade granola is superb or choose from sourdough toast ($7), the super health bowl ($16) or the eps big breakfast ($24). If you just want a coffee then play, they have an array of tempting baked goods on display. The lunch menu offers sandwiches, burgers, salads and boards.
Little ones will love little touches such as ice blocks and rainbow paddle pops. The change and toilet facilities are clean, new and fresh. The vibe, food, coffee and facilities make this the ideal destination for parents and little ones and has 5 milkshakes all the way from Little Eats.
