The Rocksia Hotel is located on the Princess Highway in Arncliffe and gets its names by combining two neighbouring suburbs, Rockdale and Banksia, which is the closest train station if taking public transport. The hotel itself however has ample parking for drivers too.
The menu at the Rocksia has anything and everything. As you’d expect from a pub with a bistro; shared plates ($16.50-$43), burgers ($16-$18), from the grill options ($24-$31), pastas and risottos ($17.50-$20), assorted mains ($19.50-$28), schnitzels ($20-$22), pizzas ($14-$19.50) as well as healthier options if you’re so inclined ($17.50-$24). The kids menu has your standard choices of spaghetti bolognaise, calamari and chips, chicken tenderloins and chips, fish and chips, kids cheese burger and grilled chicken ($9.50 each). For an additional $3.50 you can create a value meal where your kid’s meal will come with a kids drink, ice cream and activity pack. Keep in mind that for members you will receive 10% off all these prices and you can join on the spot at the cost of $5.
If you visit on a Sunday you are in for a treat with the farm yard and face painting which is set up in the front car park between 1-3pm. All in all the Rocksia has done a fantastic job catering for families as part of the funday Sunday afternoon.
