Sous le Soleil is a great place to bring the family on a nice day. Sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy the beautiful French food and coffee. The indoor area is not great for little ones, with lots of antiques and breakables for little hands to explore. If you grab a table out the front, you can even see the playground whilst you are eating. However, if you don’t feel like sitting, the takeaway window offers coffee, croissants, muffins and quiches so you can watch the little ones at play.
Breakfast is only available on the weekends between 9-11am and they are strict on timings. No all day breakfast here! Kid’s breakfast is $11 (scrambled eggs and bacon on toast). Also remember to ask for the bakery menu which offers muffins, scones and breads which are great for smaller children. There is no kids menu on offer for lunch.
During the week the lunch patrons are predominantly ‘ladies who lunch’ however on the weekends the dynamics change. The food is excellent quality with a French focus.
Sous le Soleil is great for a weekend breakfast with the children or a special lunch with grandparents. The relaxed park ambience is fantastic, especially for children with the adjacent playground.
