Stanley St Café is located behind the popular Stanley St Butcher at St Ives and there is plenty of parking at the back. The café does back onto a carpark so toddlers are probably best inside where there is plenty of room for prams and highchairs. Being a family run business, you will often see the owners’ children, nephews and nieces running around so the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Their menu is extensive and their baked goods divine – everyday is a new freshly baked temptation!
Their children’s menu is your typical fare of nuggets, burgers, schnitzel or fish all served with chips. These are obviously best for lunch however for breakfast they have plenty of options such as a soft-boiled egg with soldiers, toast and an array of baked goods.
The main menu is extensive and has a Mediterranean feel. Try the Lebanese breakfast plate fried eggs, zaatar, labne cheese and fresh tomato. For lunch they offer grills, sandwiches, salads, burgers, pasta, Lebanese wraps fish and meat mains. With so much choice, everyone should find something to enjoy.
The owners love to sit and chat to their patrons and I loved the vibe of the café. We love that urban and trendy has reached St Ives in the form of Stanley St Café.
