The Incinerator
The vibe is relaxed and friendly with easy pram access, gourmet food and an adjacent playground for the little ones. The ground floor of the 1930’s Walter Burley Griffin designed Willoughby Incinerator building has been transformed into a fantastic cafe. The Incinerator cafe is located within Bicentennial Reserve and next to Hallstrom Park which has a great oval, playground and scooter park. The scooter park even has mini street signs, lanes and bridges.
Families are made more than welcome at The Incinerator with highchairs, FREE babycinos and a great kids menu starting from $5. For breakfast, little ones can choose from vegemite or cheese on toast; eggs on toast; bacon sandwich or banana pikelets. The kids lunch menu is $10 and includes fish and chips; fried rice with salad or chicken skewers with salad. We love to see some healthy options on the menu 🙂
The Incinerator is licenced from 10am which may be a bit early for wine but perfect for a ladies lunch. The menu features salads; more substantial mains such as pulled pork shoulder; and sandwiches ($6-$24).
Mothers group are really welcome here however you may need to leave the prams outside. Alternatively there are plenty of tables outside to soak up the rays. The Incinerator is a high calibre cafe that is a welcome addition to the lower North Shore cafe scene.
