The Local Press

Located right next to an awesome playground, it is a mecca for parents with young children.

The vibe of The Local Press is summed up by the gorgeous black and white feature photo on their Facebook page of a young girl dancing with ‘It’s OK’ on her t-shirt. This local favourite is very popular thanks to its friendly and relaxed vibe and their delicious food and coffee.

When children are happy, we are happy as parents! On a nice day, the playground next to The Local Press is really busy with happy and loud children and toddlers. Mums sit around and relax with coffee in hand for a few minutes of peace or just a chat. If you are after some food, the menu here is diverse and interesting however there is no kids menu. They could try toast or one of the divine looking baked treats on offer.

For mum and dad, the oat cakes and fritters seem to be their signature breakfast dishes. Their menu is seasonal with winter bringing gourmet soups and summer super healthy salads. The food is locally sourced where possible.

We can’t recommend this friendly cafe enough for parents with children. I hear it can be very hectic on Saturdays as they Orange Grove Market is on down the road.
