The Wooden Whisk has a relaxed and friendly vibe which is great for families. They serve superb Single Origin Roasters coffee which is robust and full flavoured. They even regularly rotate the beans so regulars can always experiencing a new tastes. If you miss the early morning coffee rush from locals workers, you will find the cafe quiet and perfect for mothers groups or catch ups. There are a few stairs down to the cafe but once inside there is plenty of room for prams and a comfy change table. Toddlers will love the little toy basket up the back.
The Wooden Whisk do not have a kids menu however will happily do half portions of most menu items. Ask the friendly staff and they will do their best to accommodate your requests. The staple for my little ones is always a ham and cheese sandwich! They have plenty of bread varieties on offer which is perfect for food intolerances.
The breakfast menu runs until 11.30am and offers great variety. The lunch menu is sandwich and burger focused with a few lighter salads on offer. I’m told their Reuben sandwich is a must try but to be honest the entire menu looks delicious.
Up the road is the smaller Whisk Espresso which is perfect for coffee on the run. The Single Origin coffee is really worth the trip to the Wooden Whisk where you can relax in their homely environment.
