Waterview in Bicentennial Park is a great place to meet up with friends or come to while out for the day at the Olympic Park. Part of the function Centre ‘Waterview in Bicentennial Park’, Lilies is clearly sign posted from the entrance to Bicentennial Park, and can easily be found depending on where you are coming from.
During the week and at most times of the day, parking is plentiful. It might be more challenging to find an ideal spot at the weekend when whole families come out in full force to enjoy the out doors and the facilities of the park. The park has many paths for cycling or walking and Lilies is the perfect place to start, finish or rest up half way through. Bring your own bikes or conveniently rent bikes next door.
There are lovely water views to the lake and many picnic spots with powered BBQ stations provided.
There is no indoor seating however all seating is well protected from rain and sun. Gas heaters warm up patrons on colder days. The kid’s menu is great value with all meals under $8. A kids sandwich is $3.50 or ham and cheese fingers $4. More substantial options are spaghetti bolognese or chicken/fish with chips for $8. For breakfast, the menu is simple and covers all staples ($4 – $18). For lunch, choose from burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads and 5-6 main courses ($8-$20). High tea is also served at $35 for two.
Best deal? The portion of potato wedges is the largest this reviewer has ever seen – too much for even two and all for $8! You’ll have to kindly ask for a second portion of sour cream and sweet chili sauce to go with it.
