For those with littlies that can’t sit still, Willow and Spoon offers a large grassed garden where parents can sip their coffee undercover whilst watching them gleefully rifle through toy boxes full of trucks, superheroes, dolls and more. The kid’s menus are cutely presented on the inside of children’s story books which also keeps them amused whilst back at the table.
Built in a long ago character home, Willow and Spoon offers two dining areas. The street level café, or the undercover alfresco area at the rear of the building, which you can walk down to from the building’s side driveway. This was the better option for the kids and far away from the bustle of the main road. The backyard is fully fenced and grassed so you can watch the kids playing safely from any table in this area. Decorated with paper lanterns, bright tablecloths and a mix of retro tables and group benched tables, this place has a lovely summery picnic feel.
Menus are constantly changing to keep things fresh for the regulars, with breakfast and lunch items for the kids all under $8.50. The usual breaky offering of waffles and eggs currently includes homemade ‘Paddle Pops’ with ingredients such as coco pops, bananas, and muesli. Lunch offers a mix of healthy or filling options such as pasta, fish & chips or wraps.
For the grown up’s there is an all day breakfast menu which made for choosing between the Banana & cinnamon fried dumplings, Porcini Croquettes with mushrooms and truffle mayo or Homemade burgers a difficult one! All up a really relaxing meal here as the kids were happy to play away from the table whilst waiting for our meals to arrive.
Willow and Spoon also advised us they can host children’s birthday garden parties up until 6pm.
